I am a district manager experienced in strategy implementation and personnel development. I have more than 15 years of working history as Supervising Manager at large international companies. I have a proven track record of successfully running multi unit districts. I am specialized in implementing international organizational- and training processes in the national circumstances, and developing the skills of the operative key persons, helping them to understand the influence of their actions to successfully execute the company's strategy. German-based Lidl is the largest grocery store chain in Europe with 10,000 stores and 70,000 employees in 27 countries. Lidl Finland has 5,000 employees.

Area of responsibility: personnel and training. Point of view: sales organisation.

Localizing international projects, processes, and training material. Managing national projects and analyzing and improving processes.

Managing large training projects aimed at develop the skills of the managers and staff. Analyzing and developing existing processes in the stores.

During 2015, we organized the largest personnel training project of the year by any company in Finland. I was in charge of that project. The skills, the strengths, and the weaknesses of each of our 150 store manager were individually analyzed. Based on the analysis, the training was individually designed. The store managers attended the training events during the year according to their plan so that each of them received at least 20 days of training.

Company- internal European-wide work- exchange and education program for well- performing managers that were specially picked up for the program. The aim of the program was to prepare the attending District Managers to work at the higher level positions in the company.

In addition to the the daily workload, the program included one month of an extensive German language course and several 3 - 4 day training seminars at the headquarters of Lidl International.

As part of the program, I was given a new district to run every 2 weeks to 3 months. That gave me a broad perspective of 65 different stores around western Germany in the most competitive retail market in the world.

The responsibilities of a District Manager in Germany are similar to those in Finland.

I was in charge of an area of 4 to 5 Lidl grocery stores, each having their own store manager and 20-35 employees. As a District Manager, I was responsible for the sales and other key figures of my area as a whole, as well as for recruiting employees. By consultative means I helped the store managers to achieve the best performance with their team, and ensured the stores followed the company's working concept.
