Before her involvement in mediation and arbitration, Judge Stone presided over the Juvenile Court of the Eastern Judicial Circuit of Georgia for 12 years. While with the Chatham County Juvenile Court, she received numerous awards, including the National Award of Excellence from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, the Georgia Leadership Award, and NPC Research’s Georgia Top Performer Award. She was recognized through Senate Resolution 59 for her outstanding service in the Chatham County community. in 2015, Judge Patricia Stone was appointed by Governor Nathan Deal as a Senior Juvenile Court Judge.
Judge Stone received her law degree at the Mercer University School of Law after completing her bachelor of arts at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her initial postgraduate law experience included time as an Assistant District Attorney for the Eastern Judicial Circuit of Georgia. An award-winning attorney, her awards during this time included a Savannah Police Department Commendation and Certificate of Merit.
