Responsible for overseeing multiple affordable housing communities within the Richmond area. Assignments include submitting monthly vouchers through TRACS and iMAX, ensuring compliance within agency relationships like California Affordable Housing Initiative and the Real Estate Assessment Center, etc. Selected in 2010 by the executive committee of the California Affordable Housing Initiative, Inc. (CAHI) to use my prepared MOR response on the CAHI owner/agent portal for other agencies to use as a resource.
Company Went Out of Business Due to the Constraints of the Economy
Managed a portfolio that fluctuated between 6 and 10 properties with between 800 and 1000 units. Created motivational training programs, driving continuous quality improvement, and regularly conducting intensive portfolio analyses and assessments.
Liaison for the City of Fairfield's Community and Economic Development Team. Support development team staff, assist in city meetings as facilitator, assist in training and development of city participants in the community development programs, oversee pre/post meeting activities including research, marketing surveys, negotiations and collaborations. Evaluations of this cutting edge neighborhood development team proved to be successful, with several officials citing the team as "highly lucrative to the development of a distressed neighborhood."
Collaborated with regional Vice President, consulting on the problematic project that was challenged by issues impacting revenue, environmental compliance guidelines as well as personal conflicts and staff morale. Devised and implemented fresh management strategies, team building trainings and time management workshops, and facilitated roundtable discussions with project staff. Realized company-wide for significantly improving staff morale over both the short and long term.
Brought on board to spearhead a development in a distressed neighborhood. Challenged to drive compliance, revenue and cultural challenges during a period of explosive company growth.
