For a little over 12 years I've been immersed in the online marketing & advocacy communications arena. I've cultivated a wealth of experience managing integrated communications campaigns involving issue advocacy, grasstops, online communications, media relations, ally development, crisis management, lobbying support and public education.For the past four years, I served as the Deputy Director of Strategic Communications at America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). AHIP represents 1,300 health insurance companies. My primary role was to direct and guide AHIP's online alliance building and grassroots coalition development for all health insurance product line coalitions -- such as www.MedicareChoices.org ,www.LTCchampions.org , www.theHSAalliance.org . Furthermore, I worked with AHIP's member companies to help bolster their own advocacy communications efforts - if it be outreach to internal audiences (employees, retirees & shareholders) and/or with the public education and awareness of product line issues. I helped AHIP's members reach their audiences at the optimal intersecting point, whether it's online or targeting wherever products and policy are most influenced.
