Provide professional Project Management services to Bank of America – Home Loan & IT Release Management

  • Manage a portfolio of 14 projects in the Home Loan & IT area.

Provide professional Project Management services to the Wells Fargo - Information Security Technology group.

  • Responsible for managing corporate Tier 1 projects (>$1M) to integrate Wells Fargo and Wachovia legacy security infrastructures. The initiatives included financial management, process mapping, development and standardization, security policies revisions (SOX and PCI).
  • Used Wells Fargo Enterprise Project Methodologies (EPM) to manage full life cycle projects. The initiatives required working with the sponsor to develop project charters, financial analysis, capacity planning and completion of internal project governance artifacts.
  • Worked with technical teams (SMEs) in a matrix/virtual environment to track project initiatives/assignments and develop EPM required documents such asProject Definition Documents (PDD), Statement of Work (SOW), Business Continuity Plan (BCP), Business Requirement Definition (BRD), Requirements Traceability, Functional System Design (FSD), risk analysis, training, resource management, testing, communications, implementation and transition planning.
  • Reported directly to the PMO Office for assignments, status reporting and escalation.
  • Supported the PMO office by providing guidance to other PMs and managed administrative tasks/escalations to upper management when necessary.
  • Conducted weekly sponsor/stakeholder meetings to report the status of all project managed by the PMO and to track issues, risk and action items.

  • Implemented new HP NonStop™ security software products from the XYPRO Corporation such as Object Security (XOS), Security Compliance PRO (XSW), Safeguard Manager (XSM) and Merged Audit (XMA) across the Wells Fargo Tandem environment to provide increased access control security, additional monitoring capabilities and security administration consistency (XOS) across the legacy Wells Fargo and legacy Wachovia environments.
  • Implemented Compliant Monitoring Capabilities (XSW) supporting security industry “Best Practices”, PCI/SOX monitoring and reporting.
  • Provide “Real-Time” security event monitoring for all Tandem systems (XMA).

Responsible for a group of project managers and business analysts to implement corporate critical mission applications using SDLC methodologies. Developed process to manage customer project requests and assignments. Developed project tracking database to report and monitor project progress.

  • Managed the migration of Windows 2000 to Windows XP. A total of 6000 devices were migrated within the established target dates.
  • Managed a Project Management group to implement corporate applicationschanges. The initiative required meeting very aggressive, critical mission goals and deadlines of a fast changing environment. The group accomplished in excess of 60+ application implementations a year.
  • Directed the implementation of a data encryption (Safeboot) process to protect customer and corporate critical data in the event a laptop landed in unauthorized hands. 3500 devices were protected within the established project deadlines.
  • Directed the implementation of a firewall to protect customer and corporate devices from Internet threats. 3500 devices were protected within the established project deadlines.

IT Manager/Project Manager – Charlotte, NC (1998 – 2001)

Responsible for providing second and third level support while maintaining excellent customer relationships to further understand business requirements and expectations. Implemented software delivery products (Tivoli/Marimba) to automated applications installations reducing onsite support visits. Produced performance metric to ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA).

  • Managed the Second Level Support and Service Request groups to meet established customer Service Level agreement of 80%. The group consistently exceeded their target by 10%.
  • Successfully directed a group of Technical and Business Subject Matter experts on the implementation of an associate’s on-boarding process methodology focused on reducing cycle time by 71% (5 Days) and a reduction in operational overhead of $750,000 a year.
  • Led the implementation of an automated process using Marimba to deliver workstations images to remote sites reducing the need of having on-site support by 100% thus creating an operational cost reduction of $1.8M.
  • Led the project to implement the software distribution portion of the Tivoli Framework to delivery software applications changes to the main sites located at NY, Denver and Charlotte reducing on site support by 30%.
  • Led the Software Distribution group responsible for corporate software distribution. The group averaged 400,000 distributions a year.

IT Consultant- New York (1997 – 1998)

Hired to manage the project to implement a network infrastructure using Novell’s Network Directory Services (NDS) for two major sites and 30+ offices. Developed, documented and established server/NDS standards using corporate policies and industry best practices. Implemented an automated auditing process to ensure adherence to standards.

  • Spearheaded the migration of Novel servers to Network Directory Services (NDS) for three major sites and 30+ Regional offices. The initiative required the acquisition and configuration of 36+ servers, designing and configuring the NDS schema, replication processes, staff training/development and access rights administration.
  • Established, documented and monitored server configuration standards using an automated auditing tool (Bindview) to monitor any deviations to NDS objects, administrative access, logins scripts and server configuration settings. The standards were reviewed by Arthur Anderson two consecutive years with no deviations reported.
  • Implemented an application to leverage administrative functions to First Level support allowing Second and Third Levels to engage 20% more time on high level support initiatives.

The initiative required systems and operational integrations to successfully deliver products to the customers.
  • Received the medal of performance excellence (1993) for leading a team of IT and Business professionals on the System Development Life Cycle to implement a Branch Office automation tool to open and process accounts on-line while delivering all required banking regulatory documents. Cycle time to open an account was reduced from 2-4 hours to 15 minutes.
  • Received the medal of performance excellence (1991) for the outsourcing of banking systems to a service bureau (EDS) with a budget of $9M. The initiative included product selection by ways of negotiating vendors RFP’s, IT and business process revision/integration, project cycle management, monitoring and controlling the environment to identify process improvements opportunities, transaction processing and financial recording.

  • Directed the implementation of a Banking Methods and Procedures documentation process using ISO 9000 standards and Process Improvement methodologies. The process eliminated the need for excessive usage of paper documents, increase information availability and enhanced the process of maintaining procedures.
