Summary

Jody Shilan is a "Green Industry" veteran who can teach any landscape contractor how to sell design/build work in any economy - guaranteed! He is a former design/build contractor and award winning landscape designer, who has developed unique sales systems, standard operating procedures and installation techniques for every aspect of the landscape design/build process. Systems that can easily be taught to any employee or company, willing to challenge themselves to "do it right".

These processes are based on actual hands-on experience working for myself as well as some of the most successful design/build companies in the region. You will not find anyone who has a better overall understanding of the systems necessary for the success of a landscape design/build company from the perspective of business owner, designer, sales person, project manager, foreman and laborer.

He writes for several magazines and newspapers and has three feature columns, “Profiting From Design” in Landscape Management magazine, “Trade Secrets” in the New York Landscape Contractor and “NJLCA Today” in the Gardener News.

In addition to this, his articles and projects have been featured in Lawn and Landscape, The NJ Landscape Contractor, Irrigation and the Green Industry, Total Landscape Care, Landscape and Irrigation, Residential Design+Build, PLANET News, PLANET Advantage and Hardscape Magazine.

He has provided seminars, webinars and workshops for the NJLCA, NJNLA, APLD, PLANET, ONLA, LO Congress, DynaSCAPE, MAHTS, Hort. East and CAN West.
