Objective

What I look for in an opportunity:

1.Position – Director/VP Sales, Business Development, Market Development—global or international in scope

2.Product/application – innovative hardware, software, SaaS, or service

3.Industry – mobile/wireless, telecom, computer, Internet

4.People/Team – entrepreneurial, complementary to my international skills

5.Financing – adequately funded

1.Encompasses the function of sales or business development as Director/VP (The specific title is not as important as global or international scope.I have business experience in over 70 countries—traveling to 40+ countries; building channels/partners in 30+ countries; launching subsidiaries/sales offices in 15+ countries.)

2.An exciting, innovative hardware, software product or SaaS that solves a significant problem in the global market (I thrive on bringing new products or services to market that touch the ‘end-user’—examples have been video-conferencing, real-time UNIX systems, commercial flat-panel monitors, digital communications over power-lines, contact management via mobile devices.)

3.An industry that is has growth, excitement and global presence (My experience has been in mobile/wireless, telecom, computers, and the Internet, and I have successfully demonstrated the ability to learn new ones.)

4.A team of executives who have been successful and have strong complementary skills to mine (My primary skills are in business & market strategic planning and in global sales, marketing and business development execution.I like ‘growing’ things—I am a venture ‘globalizer’.)

5.The background, credibility and strength of the financial backers of the company (Historically I have focused on emerging companies with at least 1 round of venture funding.)
