Balanced Scorecard (see image on right sidebar)

  • The balanced scorecard allows managers to look at the tendency of their organization and to establish the necessary strategies to be able to correct detected defection. I developed a balanced scorecard in an attempt to measure and provide feedback for CMHP in order to assist with implementing strategies and objectives. This tool addressed challenges that are currently placed on management. By maintaining a balanced scorecard, CMHP can be proactive in solving problems before they become not easily resolvable.

Strategic Planning

  • Based on concepts presented in class, students wrote a complete strategic plan to execute at a healthcare facility of their choice. I compiled a 26 page Strategic Plan for Community Mercy Health Partners that included a general desciption of the Organization, Vision, Mission, and Core Values, Market Assessment and Strategies, Strategic Initiatives, Financial Assessment, Quality Performance and Continuous Improvement, Regulatory and Legal Environment, Organizational Relationships, Strategic Planning Assessment, and Benefits of Strategic Planning and Leadership.

Integration Initiatives

  • This project consisted of how I would plan and implement a change initiative within the organization in which we were employed. I chose initiatives on how to increase patient satisfaction scores due to the declining trend. I acted as a Director within the organization and explained the organizational context, underlying problem, and iniatives to increase these scores. Within the paper, I explained key concepts regarding successful leadership: the key to being a successful leader is continuous personal change, which is a reflection of our inner growth and empowerment.

Master's Proposal

  • My Master's Proposal consisted of retention and recruitment initiatives for CMHP. My proposal included: Organizational Context, Problem Identification, Proposal Need, Change Initiative Proposal, Stakeholders, Barriers, Alternatives Considered, and Evaluation. These proposals were presented to our Professor and colleagues for evaluation and feedback.

Objective

To work in a challenging role that encompasses my skills, experience, and education. I would like the opportunity to utilize my Master's degree with the initiative to improve the delivery of healthcare. I enjoy working in a creative environment where individuals are dedicated and collaborative.
