Administration of the Accounting Cycle
Accounting is precision in slow-motion. Below are the sub-sets of skills honed over time.   Capture of sales transactions, either on account via invoice or by direct receipt of cash and / or the processing of credit / debit cards Aging of A/R invoices and the sending out of client / customer account statements Making follow-up collection calls documenting results and working with distressed clients / customers accts. Recording other cash receipts (ie., loan proceeds, insurance proceeds or other extraordinary events) Coding, posting and aging vendor / supplier invoices, worker expense reports and gov. obligations Review and payment of vendor / supplier bills on time and in accordance w/payment terms taking advantage of all discounts Maintainence of positive vendor relationships and records Coding and posting of credit card / line of credit purchases and charges Reconciliation of bank accounts (Cash, Credit, Brokerage, Loan, etc...) Printing and mailing of checks and / or initiation of EFT payments as needed Capture, processing and transmission of timesheet data for payroll Coding and posting of 3rd party payroll service data to the G/L on a reg. basis Record misc. electronic cash disbursements (Wire transfers, POS, debit card, ACH, Paypal, etc.) Preparation and presentation of management reports / financial statements with recommendations Establishment of budgets and spending plans reporting activity against the benchmarks Preparation of rents rolls for 3rd party obligations Record gains/losses in real estate investments and marketable securities Set-up, organize and maintain an efficient record / filling system of A/P vendor files, A/R client files, purchase orders, reconciliations of vendor bills to purchase orders and receiving slips, and all financial institution statements and their reconciliation reports 3rd party payroll processing via SurePayroll, Paychex or ADP Set-Up or modification of accounting systems from scratch Migration of firm financial data to different software cloud platforms.
