As Chairman of the Waterfield Group, J. Randall Waterfield draws on a rich family business history dating back more than 80 years. He also serves as an owner and member of the board of directors of investment banking concern Cappello Waterfield & Co. Together with affiliates Cappello Capital Corp. and the Cappello Group, the firm has completed in excess of $100 billion in mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions. The Waterfield Group, which includes real estate, technology, merchant banking, and asset management entities, began in 1928, when Mr. Waterfield’s grandfather, Richard H. Waterfield, established Waterfield Mortgage Company and Waterfield Insurance Agency in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Headquartered in Los Angeles, Cappello Capital Corp. maintains additional offices in Austin, Indianapolis, Newport Beach, Miami, New York City, Mexico City, Beijing, Taipei, and Seoul. Under the direction of J. Randall Waterfield and his colleagues, Cappello Waterfield & Co. offers buy/sell options, mergers and acquisitions, financial restructuring, private placements of debt and equity, and other strategic services for public and private companies. J. Randall Waterfield and his fellow board members also oversee capital introductions for select funds.
