Current initiatives include:- Finalized support, in a co-facilitator context, to Orange County based Project Management Institute pre-certification study group. Sessions meet weekly, utilizing the PMI materials - "A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge", Third Edition (PMBOK Guide). Recently lead discussion on Chapter 3 - Project Management Processes for a Project. This chapter is the conceptual "glue", which develops the conceptual scaffolding upon which the remaining chapters provide the process oriented details of artifacts produced, utilized, and managed.- Invited participation by my friend and professional associate Ron Ogan, when he presented on radio frequency identification (RFID), history, theory, technologies, and production level hardware demonstrations. This was presented on 27 April 2008 at the University of San Diego, under the title "RFID Technology, Limitations, and Applications". He was the invited speaker by Kathleen Kramer, Ph.D. Dr. Kramer is currently director of Engineering Programs and Professor of Electrical Engineering at USD. Ron Ogan, is currently is a Senior Systems Engineer, working on airborne radar systems at Raytheon Systems Company, Forest, MS. Ron is on the AESS Governors Board of the IEEE.- As a user of LinkedIn, I have invested time and effort to complete my profile (move toward the 100% mark), utilize the "Reading List by Amazon" application, and to explore other LinkedIn applications. Northrop Grumman Mission Systems

Provided systems engineering, software systems engineering, and project management services to Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector on the Battle Command Product Line.The Army program name is FBCB2 (Force XXI Battle Command Brigade-and-Below).Supported SWB3 (software block 3) - conducted analyses of software block 2 product, particular attention to the variable message format (VMF) message prosed changes. Authored materials presented to Army documenting proposed changes to move to SWB3.Supported BFT2 SRR3 - Assessed the impact of hardware changes, e.g., changing satellite transceiver and associated encryption, to develop level 3 software requirements for vehicle. Software is divided across core assets, network operations center, and vehicle. Authored materials presented to Army via SRR3 documenting new and level 3 software requirements across the Blue Force Tracking (BFT2) product line.

Provided program management proposal support to Kratos Defense and Security Solutions, Inc.Provided program management and systems engineering services to the Boeing Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) Ground Mobile Radio (GMR) program in Anaheim.Provided program management and systems engineering services to the Boeing Sea Based X-Band Radar program in Anaheim, with limited on-going consultancy support.Provided systems engineering services to Boeing B-1B Programs, using spiral development methodologies. Role and responsibilities included support to systems engineering and specialty engineering organizations in a mentoring capacity for requirements analysis and management. Support included representing the programs to Boeing tool infrastructure best-practices working groups and the engineering tools working group. Client was the B-1B bomber programs system engineering manager in Long Beach.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems

Provided network systems engineering, software systems engineering, and project management services to Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, Defense Mission Systems, Command Launch Equipment (CLE) software project for the Boeing Ground-based Midcourse Defense Segment (GMDS), formerly the National Missile Defense (NMD) Program.The CLE software plans the intercept trajectory, commands the booster, and monitors its status. The software communicates with the booster during prelaunch checkout until the time it commands the booster to launch. Role and responsibilities included requirements analysis and management using Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) as computer-aided systems engineering tool. Client was site engineering manager and deputy on-site manager

TES is an in-flight entertainment system for Boeing / Airbus commercial aircraft.Developed, analyzed, and documented engineering requirements. Authored software architecture and other documentation for a C++ based system using NT based systems (Word and DOORS).

Interacted with other performing organizations, including software and production.Worked with principal hardware design engineers, translating systems requirements into board level designs for line replaceable units, using state-of-art components for through-put and design for testability.Developed systems engineering organization, groupware management of requirements, modeling and simulations, and test / return materiel data analysis databases (Visual Basic and structured query language). Modeling and simulations were developed using Altia for a graphic users interface and Foresight for simulating embedded / distributed system inputs, processing (real-time in C and other languages), and displays.Authored system requirement specification of Multi-media Digital Distribution System (MDDS).Analyzed performance, built-in test data, and system / software trouble reports from installation of Boeing 747/400 MDDS to track system availability statistics. Electro-Optical Systems:Functioned as administrative / systems test department manager. Context was high-security, (e.g., TEMPEST) environment for unit-under-test (UUT) operations. Achieved significant risk reduction, shortened test cycle, and reduced costs-while meeting contractual commitments.Defined and directed new business initiatives, developed asset tracking / data base management structured query software application to run on personal computers and networks.Directed data center and computer center technical operations. Computer center technical operations included interface with high-data-rate automated test equipment.Ensured Integration Laboratory operations support to Class 1000 cleanrooms. Laboratory operations were mixture of high-bay, low-bay, and optics bench facilities. Managed a staff of several test engineers and test technicians (laboratory / facility operations).
