Reporting directly to the CEO I was responsible for the development of OEM supply of battery packs to major cellular phone producers; cellular phone accessories for reseller chains and regional telephony carriers though co-branded products and the identification of distributors high technology products produced by Viable affiliated companies.
Reporting directly to the CEO, I was responsible for the introduction of new products, developing of new businesses, markets and distribution channels for strategic product lines for strategic and alternative products (high-end home appliances, telephones, audio, batteries packs and semiconductors).
I was in charge for the trading operations between Sanyo Electric Trading (Japan) and Sanyo da Amazônia (Brazil) and major customers. I operated within and leading cross-functional departments to accomplish the business deals: financings, imports, transportation and logistics, marketing and promotion, product development, engineering and manufacturing, SUFRAMA’s regulatory issues and after-sales support for exclusive products.
I worked on the introduction of Sanyo brand at the Duty Free Shops of Brazilian Airports (US$ 2.47 Million FOB Japan in 1997) and high-end imported products in Manaus Free Zone (Amazon);
I managed the distribution to MERCOSUL countries (Paraguay US$ 680,000.- FOB Japan between Sept.´99 and April Abr.´00 (not included the border market of Ciudad del Este); supplies of battery packs for professional video and radio communication, semiconductors for electro-electronics and auto-parts manufacturers; appointed distributors and importers in Brazil of multimedia LCD Projectors for corporate presentations and home-theaters.
I identified new business opportunities for Sanyo Energy Corp. Japan and their subsidiaries in the U.S.A and Germany in 1996, which resulted in the local supply in Manaus (Amazon Free Zone) of cells and battery for cellular phones to the major manufacturers such as Gradiente/Nokia, Motorola, Ericsson and NEC. (3.8 Million units for Gradiente/Nokia between Feb. and Dec. ’99).
Reporting directly to the President I was in charge for the managing and expansion of OEM areasthrough the supply of audio and video kits in S.K.D. (semi knock-down) and C.K.D. (complete knock-down) to other major electro-electronic companies such as Sanyo, Gradiente, Semp-Toshiba, Sharp, C.C.E. (US$ 48 million FOB Korea in 1994, approx. 70% out of total exported to Brazil).
I was the liaison executivebetween Samsung Korea’svarious export sections (Video Cassette, Audio, Microwave Oven, Color TV, Car Stereo, Home Appliance) and OEM customers, covering technical and commercial issues. I identified new customers and partners, analyzing and structuring complex deal structures with a proven track record of deal negotiation and execution, worked with product engineering and other teams on new products, strategic partnerships, special projects and alternative distribution for existing and new business initiatives.
I managed sales to the Duty-Free Shops (Brasif Group) achieving an outstanding sales and market share participation: An export volume of US$ 10 Million (1994), leading Samsung as the best seller brand in microwave ovens and TV sets. I appointed and managed distributors of Samsung and OEM brands in MERCOSUL countries.
I identified and implemented new areas of business as the distribution of textiles produced by TDB - Textil David Bobrow www.tdb.com.br .
Reporting directly to the Commercial Vice-President I was in charge for developing the industrial and OEM supply of products and services to other major producers such as Sony, Sanyo and Semp-Toshiba. (power transformers, coils, cassette and turntable mechanisms, yokes, fly-backs, PC boards, speakers, wooden racks and plastic injection services).
I appointed and managed distributors in MERCOSUL countries and managed triangular operations with Cofap Trading and the Angolan Government, resulting in supply contracts of approximately US$ 1.20 million (1989) and 1.45 million (1990), involving transfer oftechnology, industrial machineries and supply of audio kits.
I was partner of this consulting company, which was oriented to the promotion of export markets forsmall and medium size companies, and operating as their export departments.

I managed the supply of parts, components and kits of electro-electronic products, targeting prompt revisions and adjustments of import programs, to face constant production re-scheduling to attend market changes. I kept daily follow-up with CCE’s purchase offices in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan as well as vendors from South Korea (Samsung) and the United States.
I prepaired market research studies subcontracted by international organisms such as the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) and Latin-American Integration Association (ALADI).
