Avionic Sensor Technician

United States Air Force

I joined the Air Force when I was 17 years old and only 1 month out of high school. I was able to score high enough on the ASVAP to become an Avionic Electrical Engineer and receive a $10,000 signing bonus. I went off to basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas and completed basic in August 2000. I stayed in San Antonio for 6 months and went through electronic principles training in the Community College of the Air Force. After I completed this training I was sent to Sheppard AFB in Wichita Falls, Texas for ongoing electronic training on actual aircraft's on base. In April 2001 I received my first full time duty assignment and I was stationed in RAF Mildenhall, UK which is 45 minutes north of London. While stationed in England I was assigned to work on Multi Million dollar avionic electronic systems that were vital and if inoperable could cause death to the pilot and those on board. I worked in a very fast paced deadline oriented office where our systems were extremely mission critical and could literally mean life and death and mistakes were made. Being only 18 years old and working in this environment caused me to grow up extremely fast and learn invaluable life lessons along the way. I was working on base when 9/11 happened which drastically changed the face of the military. I spent the next 2.5 years working and living in England before receiving orders to PCS to Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas. In Abilene I continued to work as an Avionic Electrical Engineer on C-130 and MH-53 aircraft. I stayed in this position until my enlistment was up and I was honorably discharged in July 2005.

President / Founder

325 Customs

While active duty in the United States Air Force stationed in the United Kingdom I started a custom automotive business on base. This company started off as just a part time hobby but by the summer of 2001 it took on a life of its own. I began importing custom automotive products and selling and installing them on base. By the beginning of 2002 I was starting to make more money with my part time business than I was making full time in the military. In September 2003 I received orders that I was being stationed at Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX. When I got to Abilene I decided to try and start the business back up in Abilene. I created an eBay store named 325 Customs and starting selling custom automotive products online. I was able to become an eBay powerseller by 2004 and started a retail location that same year. Business really started booming by the beginning of 2005 and I was looking to open a 2nd retail location. My enlistment in the service was over in June of 2005 so I decided to start looking for new opportunities. I was able to sell this company and start working full time as a business consultant which allowed me to move to relocate to Dallas.
