Group Vice President

American Express Financial Advisors

As Group Vice President, responsible for five divisions and 30 registered locations, my goals were to improve the planning process and increase production of current advisors. Devised a resource support system to help our AMEX Financial Advisors to improve their core competencies in planning. Results were a spectacular increase in planning fees, up over 247%.Sales results were in excess of $215 million and net profits exceeded $18 million.

Effectively managed internal and peer resistance to the concept of using fee-based planning with patience and consistent messaging. Because of hesitancy on the part of advisors and leaders to try new pricing concept, we worked with those impacted and slowly dissolved their reluctance. As a result, sale of products quadrupled and our average client retention rate increased from 60% to 90%.
