Challenge:  Deliver critically needed business functionality and provide a foundation for improved analytics to support the company’s next phase of growth by replacing core systems with an advanced, integrated ERP solution.

Oversee the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX and CRM systems replacing ten-year-old legacy applications. Manage all aspects of concurrent AX and CRM projects including two teams of solution providers, internal resources, project budgets, and scope. Ensure regular communication of project status to business process owners through weekly project steering committee meetings and status reports to the executive project sponsor.

  • Lead the discovery process for both Dynamics CRM and AX system requirements.

Directed the design, delivery and management of data warehouse infrastructure, ETL processes, presentation layer tools, custom analytics, data extracts, dashboards, reports, and other content. Collaborated extensively with executives to align business intelligence strategies with corporate goals.   • Successfully grew the Business Intelligence team from one part-time resource to ten dedicated team members supporting 1,000 users globally with operational and analytical reports, and ad-hoc queries.

  • Replaced dysfunctional legacy sales reports with simple, fast and accurate parameterized reports, utilizing Reporting Services. New reports were enthusiastically adopted by the sales organization, reducing the total number of salespeople utilizing a complex ad-hoc query tool by 50%.

  • Designed and developed T-SQL, DTS and DataFlux processes to improve quality of data for Corbis’ enterprise CRM. Defined strategy to capture and migrate data from CRM into Dataflux, providing an automated means to verify and standardize more than 60,000 customer addresses. Solution was recognized for enhancing marketing and enterprise hierarchy data.
  • Developed royalty calculation process for Corbis’ Royalty Free product line. Analyzed and resolved issues with legacy royalty payment system; created extracts from disparate legacy transactional databases for analytical reporting, royalty calculation, and order fulfillment, resulting in the accurate and timely delivery of royalty payments to over 5000 content providers.
  • Designed a mobile information gathering system for Seattle City Light’s Overhead Distribution Maintenance program. Integrated with internal Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to allow line workers to survey power lines and plan maintenance activities by location.
  • Designed and implemented an analytical reporting system to allow SCL Technical Support Managers to analyze work volumes and cycle times by problem category, support technician, and time dimensions, utilizing MS Access and MS SQL Server.
  • Analyzed and modified four mission-critical FoxPro applications to ensure they were Y2K compliant.
