*Currently employed full time technichian at the 186th ARW. Between 2008 and present, I was employed full time temporary technician at times and traditional guard at other times.

Evaluate personnel to determine training needs. Request, log, and issue Career Development Courses. Request Career Development Course extensions. Compose AF Form 2096 for AFSC upgrades. Review CDSAR reports for individuals testing at Base Training. Administer and assist Base Training in testing individuals. Administer AFSC qualifications tests. Inventory qualification test on a weekly basis. Ensure daily control of all testing material. Update individuals training on a daily basis utilizing ATMIS. Review individual’s training folder for accuracy and completeness. Develop a monthly training plan to project personnel’s training needs. Conduct a monthly training meeting to discuss the training plan with supervisors and trainers. Brief the Commander monthly on the OJT roster and Status of Training report. Implement and maintain filing system. Inventory Career Field Education and Training plans monthly and inform work-centers of any changes.

Take medical histories, administer eye medications, instruct the patient in care and use of corrective lenses, perform all the ophthalmologic tests necessary for preliminary and highly specific eye exams, assist in ophthalmic surgery, and maintain ophthalmic and surgical instruments, as well as office equipment.Prepares preoperative and postoperative patients. Takes ophthalmic photographs and prepares injectable ophthalmic anesthetics and antibiotics. Examines records/forms and prepares patient for current exam/treatment. Prepare appropriate equipment.
