I am a recent graduate of Salisbury University, I am looking for a position within finance, accouting, or management. As I was finding what I really wanted to pursue during college, I noticed that I was interested in the business world, particularly finance. Finance and accounting is very intimidaing and it is important to me that people do not overlook the material. I want to be the translator between complex financial statements and others to make correct strategic decisions. My goal is to be apart of financial success, whether it be an organization or individual. Also during college, there were many group projects which I have been apart of and I have found that not many want to take the leadership role. I found that I also have a knack for being a great manager of people. I enjoy taking the lead on projects. In the spring of 2010 I plan on enrolling into a Master's of Business and Administration program to gain greater knowledge of the business world.

I plan to utilize my skills that I have gained in college and internship/ work experience to become a tremendous asset to your company.

Please contact me on any opportunities available.

Asset Manager Intern

At Merrill Lynch I was an asset manager intern. During the internship I helped prospect new clients for my manager. I created low and medium risk portfolios according to the tolerances of clients.I reviewed client portfolios case by case and suggested improvements to better meet their financial goals. Using Morningstar, I reviewed and analyzed various stocks and mutual funds. Morningstar provides ratios and various statistical information which assisted me in rating of different financial instruments.  Also, I advised on different savings plan for college, such as UGMA, UTMA, 529, and Maryland College Savings plans.

Assistant Camp Director

YMCA Of Central Maryland

As a YMCA assistant camp director I performed many HR and accounting duties for the camp. Throughout the camp season, I managed fourteen employees and over one hundred campers. I recognizd employees of the week and disciplined employees. I increased employee efficiency during adverse situations. As an assistant, I also controlled the budget for the camp. Camp quality was among the highest of camps in the YMCA of Maryland. At the end of the camp season my camp had excess cash. We rewarded campers and counselors with a fun week. I coordinated with other camps and organizations to schedule events for the campers throughout the summer. I created weekly newsletters to update parents on camper progress and upcoming events. As an assistant director, I acted as the forefront between the camp and parents.
