Summary

Nutrition is the field of my choice.  I am very anxious to work with food, help people to make good food choices, and to help people become healthier.  I have been a student at CSU in Fresno for two and a half years now.  I have one more year to go before acquiring my Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition Sciences with an option in Dietetics and Food Administration.  After I graduate, I will hopefully enter an internship program in dietetics.  This program is highly competitive.  I have, therefore, volunteered my services in food service, and I volunteer for the WIC program in hopes of acquiring one of these internships.  After I complete the internship program, I will take the state examiniation and then become a registered dietitian. 

Objective

It is my goal to be a registered dietitian.  I love the field of nutrition.  My dream is to counsel people about eating the right foods and avoid disease. I want to help people to love nutritous foods.  There are so many diseases that are prevelant such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and hypertention.  People have no idea about how the foods they eat connect with their health and how they feel. Therefore, I would love to teach nutrition or work as a counselor.   I love the field of nutrition so much that I am open to working in any part of this field.  I also love working with food.  Food service is an option that I would enjoy very much. 

Interest

My interests are for the most part in dietetics and in food service.  I really love food.  So I have always been interested in cooking.  It is my goal to search out healthy foods and recipes that taste greatl.  I want to be able to counsel people about wonderful foods and prepare these foods to benefit their health.
