Assistant Pastor

New Hope Chapel of Plymouth

New Hope Chapel is a fast-growing, cutting-edge church in the historic town of Plymouth, MA. I was brought on in 2009 when the church was only 8 years old to support its rapid growth by managing the increasing number of high-level projects and cultivating relationships with congregants.

  • Trained 30+ leaders on how to manage congregant profiles and track online donations using a third-party database software, and oversaw its implementation.
  • Developed customer service training program and trained 30+ leaders on it, then met with leaders individually to help implement the program in their specific departments.
  • Managed 20+ projects per year, coordinating with multiple departments and delivering completion within hard deadlines.

Grace Bible Church is a community-focused church in Dunmore, PA. I was hired to implement a major musical style transition.

  • Managed 15+ volunteer staff, gaining rapport and leveraging quality relationships to successfully implement a major organizational change.
  • Casted vision for, and educated church members in, the transition.
  • Communicated with senior leadership to plan a seamless change in the congregation of 200+ members, seeing the transition completed successfully by 2009.

Word of Life Fellowship is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making a positive impact on youth. I was hired to manage logistics of the program staff, which produced all activities and events of campers at the Ranch summer camp.

  • Helped lead 20+ employees to implement a newly modern, summer-long comprehensive camper activity program.
  • Coordinated logistics of 3 rallies per day, attended by a total of 150+ campers.

Bachelor of Science in Bible- Major in Pastoral Ministries

Baptist Bible College

Going far beyond rote study of the Bible, the Pastoral Ministries program provided extensive study of leadership principles- how to effectively navigate the logistic, relational and process-driven aspects of a complex organization such as a local church. I learned how interpersonal skills such as active listening can be combined with organizational processes to lead people in a way that adds value.
