I have always loved the arts. As a small child my obsession was drawing, and as a teenager at Maryville High School the obsession grew in art class. I never wavered from my goal of obtaining an art degree. My interest in computers led me to add an emphasis in graphic design, which resulted in a degree from Carson-Newman College in 2001. I then enlisted in the Army as a Multimedia Specialist both to serve my country and help pay off my student loans. During my seven years of enlisted life I was deployed once to Iraq and twice to Afghanistan before I decided to pursue life outside of the military.
During my time in the military I did various projects. Some of those included posters, signs, brochures, and lengthy videos about deployments. Although I enjoyed my time in the military, I decided my talents could be better used in the civilian market. I am looking for a job that best suits my attributes and abilities, and I am willing to relocate.
