Special Agent / Economic Crimes Coordinator

Conducted felony criminal investigations-to include the interviewing of witnesses and suspects, crime scene photography, and the collection and preservation of evidence. Analyzed complaints, allegations, and law violations to identify issues and persons involved, and types of evidence required for successful prosecution. Was responsible for the development of criminal cases with prosecuting counsel, effecting trial preparation and testifying in military courts martial and superior court. Special emphasis on economic crimes, which included developing Target Analysis Files(TAF), Task Force RAPTOR cases and Crime Prevention Surveys (CPS). Planned and developed the installation Economic Crime Target Analysis(ECTA) for over 20 directorates, which included an analytical survey of the crime conducive conditions for each directory. Upon completion of the ECTA, TAFs and CPSs were generated to report deficiencies and to provide guidance and advise on how to fix issues within the directorate to prevent fraud, waste and abuse, and to save the government money.

Task Force Justice (CID)

Conducted felony investigations and performed duties as the senior enlisted Special Agent and NCOIC of a forward deployed CID office supporting commanders of Camp Buehring, Area Support Group- Page1 Kuwait and the Iraq theatre of operations. I advised the Special Agent in Charge on all enlisted matters, investigative support requirements, and evidence management of a field investigative element. I coordinated and conducted training, managed the unit's logistical and administrative functions; provided subject matter expertise for evidence management, crime scene processing and agent development. Conducted investigations concerning suspected terrorists, Taliban, al-Qaeda and other detainees deemed a threat to US and Coalition Forces. Performed liaisons with federal law enforcement, other US Government and host nation agencies and select US and Coalition military and intelligence entities. Was responsible for the development of criminal cases against those chosen for further screening and possible military war crime tribunals.

Conducted felony criminal investigations as well as supervised the Drug Suppression Team to safely and successfully execute covert surveillance operations, controlled narcotics purchases, and to recruit and develop of confidential informants. Routinely briefed senior leaders concerning drug use/abuse, education, prevention and detection; as well as topics of a more general" crime prevention and awareness" nature. These briefings would involve value-added liaison, outreach and involve speaking before groups of 50 or more.

Squad Leader / Downed Aircraft Recovery Team Leader

Led a squad of seven Soldiers through counseling and mentorship; as well as, taught my Soldiers in all aspects of aircraft maintenance. Supervised the set-up and operation of Forward Arming and Refueling Points. Maintained the Avionics/Electronics/Armament systems for 24 AH-64D Longbow Apache Helicopters. Utilized various tools, equipment, and test sets to successfully maintain the aircraft. Served as a squad leader and trained approximately 20 Soldiers on how to properly maintain and repair aircraft faults. Served as a night shift NCOIC, responsible for the operational readiness 24 aircraft and seven Soldiers.

Team Leader / Forward Arming & Refueling Point Chief

D Company, 3rd BN, 159th AV REGT, 12th CAB

Responsible for the operational readiness of 24 AH-64D Longbow Apache Helicopters. Served as a Team Leader, taught in aspects of leadership, coaching, and mentoring of other Soldiers. Assigned as a night shift Page2 NCOIC, responsible for my team of 5 Soldiers and the aircraft within the battalion. Deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 08-10 Balad, Iraq and later to Basrah, Iraq. While deployed, served as the Forward Arming and Refueling Point(FARP) Chief. My duties of FARP Chief were to successfully arm, refuel aircraft, and maintain a safe working environment. Supervised two Soldiers, oversaw 5 fuelers and taught them all aspects of FARP operations. Overall responsible for the safety of 8 personnel, three aircraft landing pads, and all ammunition located at the FARP.

Downed Aircraft Recovery Team Leader/Radio Transmitter Operator

D Company, 4th BN, 2nd CAB, 2nd ID

Maintained 24 AH-64D Longbow Apache Helicopters. I utilized various tools, equipment, and test sets to maintain aircraft. Served as the Downed Aircraft Repair Team (DART) Leader and Radio Transmitter Operator. Was selected out of 14 other personnel to be the only Avionics/Electronics/Armament system specialist on the DART. I conducted numerous training and real life DART missions. Trained in all aspects of DART operations, to include submerged aircraft, battle damage assessment and repair, and how to determine if an aircraft was safe to operate. Made overall decisions as to the safety and reliability of aircraft that made precautionary landings and whether they were flight worthy or not.
