As the Director of Recruiting at ALFsource in Atlanta, Josh Poole helps assisted living communities procure quality team members at all levels, from executives to nurses. Once employees are hired, Poole and the team at ALFsource facilitate payroll and human resources administration for the facilities. Clients can take advantage of a comprehensive suite of other services, as well, such as new-facility launch support and continuous management feedback. One of the core businesses for ALFsource is its consulting services. Josh Poole actively recruits consultants for the company’s Consultant Partnership program, which provides various services pertaining to regulatory compliance and employee administration. He began his career with ALFsource as a Consultant Recruiter in 2010. Josh Poole laid the foundation for his career at Sewanee: The University of the South, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. A longtime resident of Atlanta, he came to the region shortly after college and launched PEO Corporation, a provider of human resources administration services to small businesses in Georgia. He functioned as Principal of the company, concentrating the business on health care organizations, particularly senior and assisted living environments. With this initial industry experience, Poole established another human resources administration business in Atlanta, Comp At Work, Inc., in 1999. Serving as President, he oversaw all aspects of the business while designing compliance and administrative procedures to minimize risk and improve cash flow for clients. Within 12 months, Comp At Work was turning a profit and serving more than 500 clients across the state. Understanding the importance of quality medical care, Poole supports the Family Medical Center in Baldwin County, Alabama, and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. In his free time, he enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, and golfing.
