A University of Oregon Alum searching for internship and job openings in the advertising and marketing world, both creative and management.

I love to play tennis and work out often in my free time!

Long Term Goals:
  •  To work in an advertising agency guiding campaigns, researching media outlets and allocating advertising budgets

Short Term Goals:

  • To gain invaluable experience with an advertising agency working on both creative designs and copy and management-focused tasks such as choosing media outlets and creating creative briefs

Jeanne Long

Jose started at the Emerald during the summer, always the slowest time for ad sales. He quickly built effective relationships with existing clients and prospected new business to ensure he met his monthly sales goals from the very beginning. Jose not only put careful thought into his clients' media plans, but also took ad layout and design into consideration to use his clients' budgets most effectively, an extra step that not many students do. Jose has a keen eye for design and a strong work ethic that will make him a valuable employee for any marketing or advertising organization.

Shan Anderson

I gladly write this letter of reference for Jose Tancuan who was a student in my Advertising Design class at the University of Oregon, spring term 2008.

As one of the top students in my class, Jose was dedicated to turning out top rate solutions to the challenges that were presented to him. He did not settle for just turning out the first thing that came to him but worked diligently to create concepts and layouts that really expressed his ability to do creative and finished designs.

Throughout the class, Jose hones his computer skills, proved that he was focused and organized, and was always ready to present at the reviews. More importantly, he was able to show that he could think critically and has good advertising instincts through his participation in the review of his peer's work.

In closing, let me say that I have no hesitation in recommending Jose Tancuan. If his performance in my class is any indication of how he will succeed, I feel confident he will be an asset to your program.

Jose was part of a team of ten student account executives responsible for generating over $600,000 in yearly advertising revenue. He personally managed an account list of over 100 local businesses and student organizations and is responsible for bringing in over $40,000 this year

Jose is a highly motivated individual. He has high expectations of himself and always puts 120% into whatever he is doing. His attention to detail and tenaciousness has made him a successful account executive.

Jose started this past summer with a small account list. However, he quickly built a hearty list through prospecting. His efforts and success helped inspire the entire staff. I have worked with many students over the past 15 years at the ODE, and I can easily say that Jose is one of the hardest workers I have seen.

I highly recommend Jose Tancuan. He is a pleasure to work with and would be an asset to any organization.
