About Joseph Sordi

Joseph Sordi serves as the managing director of Strategic Security Corp. (SSC), a private risk management firm that provides domestic and international security services. Since joining the firm in 2002, he has led emergency management and security projects for high-profile events and organizations, such as FEMA and the NFL. Joseph Sordi has also developed training programs and action plans related to security and risk management.

In guiding SSC, Joseph Sordi draws on experience with the New York City Police Department, where over the course of 20 years he served in investigatory, transit security, intelligence, and a number of other capacities. Prior to leaving the NYPD as a sergeant, he worked on a Reengineering Management Team appointed to evaluate and improve operations within the department and supervised a Strategic Response Group tasked with responding to terrorist attacks and active-shooter situations.

Joseph Sordi holds a BS in criminal justice and an MS in protection management from the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He has also garnered a number of certifications and honors from federal agencies and other organizations.
