Jun 2003 - Oct 2011

Falls Theater/Co-Ed Cinema

Began working at the Concessions Stand as a part-time after school job, but soon began taking on more responsibility, including - but not limited to - ticket sales and Projection Booth management.

Was promoted to a shift supervisor position in 2006, which carried through until 2008 when I was promoted to Assistant Manager, in charge of inventory, scheduling and payroll, and more responsibility in the Projection Booth.

In 2009, I was promoted to Manager and made responsible of all areas of management in the theater, with the responsibilities of ordering, all aspects of Projection Booth management and more added on to previous responsibilities.

Left the theater in 2011 when I moved to Charleston, SC and began working for Belk.

Nov 2011 - Present

Operations Associate/Pricing Lead

I began as a part-time Sales Associate for the Christmas 2011 holiday season, though was promoted to full-time shortly after New Year's 2012 and by February 2012, I was named the Ralph Lauren Petite Specialist, a position I held until I made the switch from Sales to Operations in December 2012.

For Operations, I was put in charge of doing all sale sets for the entirety of the Ladies Department, which often required using my previous merchandising experience - specifically with Lauren - to make sure the sale was set correctly.

In 2013, I was named the joint Pricing Lead, requiring me to become knowledgeable in both pricing and merchandising  in nearly all areas of the store.

People Skills

Being friendly and knowledgeable in the product allows me to help the customer find what she needs in a timely and effective manner.

My accuracy in pricing ensures that the customer is happier when they reach check out, and may spend more if they know the exact cost of the item as opposed to having to play a guessing game,.

Merchandising is an important aspect of the retail world, and I find it important to present the product in a clean and orderly way, which helps drive sales.
