Supplementing his diverse professional and academic history, Joseph Buchwald holds community service experience with organizations, such as the Wounded Warrior Project and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. For six years, Joseph Buchwald volunteered in Hillsdale, New Jersey, helping senior citizens acquire computer skills. In his personal life in Hillsdale, Joseph Buchwald likes to play the guitar, attend live music concerts, and spend time with friends and family. As a sports enthusiast, he particularly enjoys playing football, basketball, and golf in Hillsdale.

A resident of Hillsdale, Joseph Buchwald trained for his career path in college. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina in 2008. A diligent student, he graduated with recognition on the dean’s list.

Currently serving as a Loss Prevention Detective for Macy’s, Inc., Hillsdale’s Joseph Buchwald holds strong ambitions for his career in law enforcement. To further his aspirations, he joined Macy’s in May 2011. Based at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, New Jersey, he focuses on monitoring potential criminal behavior through security cameras. His job entails working with a team of security professionals and conducting audits with managers and store employees.

Outside of Hillsdale, Mr. Buchwald’s early professional history includes working for a travel agency in Fort Lee, New Jersey; serving with Electric Lighting Agencies in New York City; assisting a Certified Public Accountant in Coral Springs, Florida; and, more recently, serving as a Finance Risk Manager for GOGO Worldwide Vacations in Ramsey, New Jersey.
