I am a capable worker looking for the best way to support my wife and child. Although I did not join the military, my test scores qualify me for any of their jobs, including that of a linguist.  I adapt quickly, work efficiently, enjoy learning, and always seek to better myself and others. Thank you for your consideration.

Microsoft Office

Word is easy-to-use and fun to work with, although less intuitive since the introduction of the "ribbon." Excel is a blast; while I tend to forget formulas from time to time, I look them up and make spreadsheets work for me. Autocalculation is a silent joy, and I am fascinated by its capabilities to simplify workflows.
Powerpoint is finally becoming as useful as Apple's Pages, although alternatives like Prezi still outstrip it.
Access has simply always been a nightmare, but a necessary one. Like horseback riding, it takes time to do well, but once learned, it is an admirable trait. I only need to re-learn it; I am out of practice.

I used to travel and play music for a living. Suffice to say I am not an entirely unfunny person, and each job I have held has enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere I bring to the workplace. Entertainers are not pessimists; I take terrible news and focus on actionable data, typically while smiling. I am moderately pleasant to be around, recommending books, music, and recent articles based on your tastes.
