Responsibilities

Manage all commercial aspects of Travelocity's business in South America, including General Manager for Travelocity's two regional sites (Travelocity Argentina and Travelocity Latinoamerica) and the regional team of Market Managers who acquire content for all of Travelocity's global sites and manage relationships with more than one thousand partners in the territory.

Drive overall regional sales and marketing strategy to meet or beat revenue targets. Ownership of SEM strategic direction and regional marketing budget.  Also managed team that designed the overall customer experience for the sites. Co-owned media sales relationships and targets with the media sales team.

Results

During 2010 Travelocity Argentina and Travelocity Latinoamerica grew more than 70% YOY and beat plan. Site conversion rates improved by more than 40% on paid campaigns. The Market Management team exceeded their contracting targets, which were the most aggressive of any global region, and also beat their revenue targets by nearly 20%.

Responsibilities

Site Leader for Sabre Holdings' newest global software development center in Buenos Aires with a primary focus on the Travelocity business unit, which currently has nearly 400 employees and multiple delivery teams. Founded the center and hired the entire local leadership team. Managed entire operation, infrastructure and multi-million dollar budget. 

Results

More than 300 employees recruited, hired and trained during first two years. Buenos Aires became a center of excellence for Travelocity’s global trips shopping platform, and was also recognized for its innovative recruiting and training programs. The "Passport" internship program has been emulated at other company offices. The center was a leader in implementing agile development methodologies within the company and also beat multiple uptime records in core systems.

Led regional marketing organization of more than 30 professionals that actively sought new opportunities outside the traditional lines of business, in addition to setting the overall business strategy and managing marketing initiatives for the GDS channel throughout a diverse territory of 23 countries in the Latin America and Caribbean Region.

Results

Created organization to profitably develop the Synxis hotel CRS business in the region, now one of the fastest growing for Sabre Hospitality Solutions. Also created and led the introduction of Travelocity merchant hotel sales to the travel agency channel under the TotalTrip brand, which currently generates US$20M in hotel-only merchant sales annually for Travelocity.
