A doctoral student in clinical psychology, Jordan Perzik has spent the last seven years furthering his counseling education while serving as a therapist in the Los Angeles area. From 2008 to 2010, he assisted clients who were facing problems related to addiction and aging at the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. For part of the same period, Jordan Perzik counseled elementary children through a school-based program at Kentwood elementary school.

More recently, Jordan Perzik has worked in private practice under the supervision of a marriage and family therapist, Michael E. Main, M.F.T. He also is completing a doctoral practicum in neuropsychology at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where he conducts research, constructs tests, and writes grants, among other responsibilities.

Jordan Perzik also pursues a lifelong interest in astronomy. He enjoys studying protoplanetary nebulae, galaxies, and globular clusters, and he has logged more than 100 hours of observing through the telescope at the Mount Wilson Observatory. He also is active with similar institutions, such as the Griffith Observatory and Caltech Astronomy’s Palomar Observatory.
