These "Road to Rio" events began on June 5, 2014, when the Sarasota Polo Club hosted the three-day 2014 Modern Pentathlon World Cup Finals. The "Road to Rio" series will culminate later in 2016 with the official U.S. Modern Pentathlon Olympic Team trials.
