Vivon Corporation President Jon Sockol earned a Master's degree in Accounting from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts, in 1991. Mr. Sockol graduated cum laude from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 1985. A year earlier, as part of an international study program, Jon Sockol completed a semester at the University of Copenhagen.Jon Sockol started Vivon Corporation in 2000. Since then, the real estate development and leasing company has completed two major projects on Northboro Road in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Jon Sockol and Vivon Corporation first oversaw the development of a 1-story, 5,760-square-foot commercial building. Their next project involved a 3,404-square-foot, 2-story building to be used as retail and office space. As Vivon Corporation's president, Jon Sockol obtains all necessary permits, including those for demolition and building, as well as occupancy certificates. Sockol also files site plans with governmental authorities.In addition to his work with Vivon Corporation, Jon Sockol is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He passed the National Uniform CPA Examination at the first sitting. In 1992, Jon Sockol registered as a CPA with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and joined the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, Inc., as a fellow. Jon Sockol maintains a membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In 1993, Jon Sockol founded Our Future Learning Center. Jon Sockol operated this company until he sold it in August of 2011.
