CTO and Director of Operations – my roll transitioned very quickly while at Apex.I started as a technical resource involved in managing existing systems.Very shortly after I started I was put in charge of a custom development project that would replace the accounting system, and create workflow, imaging, etc. to streamline operations. As Project Lead I managed the translation of scope from the business to the developers while continuing the database management and other operational duties. The owner of the company recognized my leadership skills and directed me to take over operational areas of the companies as well.I was eventually leading Client Accounting, Collections, as well as an IT staff. The projects that I lead took the company from 27 employees with revenue of $3MM per month to 45 employees with revenue of $27MM per month. This was a very rewarding project since there were so many areas of opportunity to develop.
