Until my arrival in 2008, Capitol Supply was strictly a government contractor with no commercial visibility. I was charged with guiding the design, development, launch and marketing of a B2B/B2C e-commerce entity. I was in charge of three direct reports, plus the responsibility of the strategic direction for our team of three programmers.


  • Led the team that launched a brand-new B2B/B2C e-commerce website that grew from launch to revenue of over $4 million per year in less than 5 years

  • Personally oversaw and participated in the design and architecture of site and all features

  • Piloted the team that designed and programmed all backend ordering and customer service systems

  • Researched, created, and managed multiple ongoing Search Engine Marketing (SEM) keyword campaigns with monthly budgets of over $5,000

  • Routinely performed Search Engine Optimization (SEO) reviews of our site and keyword rankings, then recommended and guided changes

  • Designed and developed automated systems using T-SQL and a scripting language to update, create and upload various shopping data feeds

  • Created and maintained affiliate marketing program with more than 5,000 affiliates

  • Oversaw and participated in the creation and maintenance of our social media marketing including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram

  • Responsible for the creation and management of our email marketing program with a list of over 6,000 active recipients


  • Guided all direct mail campaigns with more than 75,000 recipients and budgets in excess of $150,000

  • Planned and executed participation in dozens of national and international trade shows

  • Designed and created printed marketing materials, brochures and sales sheets

  • Conceived and oversaw the creation of print ads including designs and copywriting

  • Wrote press releases and disseminated them through both traditional and online channels

  • Directed and managed in-house creative department

  • Researched, selected, and implement company-wide CRM system was used by over 100 members of the sales and executive staff. This included overseeing software customization, roll-out, and training

  • Instituted a call tracking and monitoring program to effectively determine ROI for marketing expenses. Along with the CRM, the company was able to effectively track customers from first contact through sale and into service

  • Successfully commanded and completed an ad agency switch, including research, review, and selection

  • Oversaw and guided a new web initiative to re-engineer the company’s website from the ground up adding information gathering systems and interactive features

  • Planned and executed multiple two-week ‘yacht hops’ featuring dozens of customers and their boats going from one island to another in the Bahamas

TheBuzzNYC was an online casting database for performers in the New York City area with over 1,000 paying members. I started this business along with a partner and was responsible for many duties during both the launch phase and the day-to-day. My main focus however, was on the site conception and design, database management, advertising, marketing, and customer support.

Online, live entertainment and video game website where I was charged with creating and producing daily features. I also served as an on-air host for our daily broadcast. In addition, I was out in the field where I concentrated mainly on segment production.

Local cable news station reaching over 250,000 homes where I produced, wrote, shot, and edited my own stories for air. In addition, I anchored a daily five-minute sportscast. I also served as the on-air play-by-play person for the “High School Football Game of the Week” broadcast.

Associate Sports Producer

The Fox affiliate in Miami gave me my first shot in television as an intern in the sports department. I quickly worked my way up into a paid position as an Associate Sports Producer. It was here that I learned how to edit stories for air and write the accompanying copy. I also better learned how to conduct interviews through my weekly tasks of speaking to sports personalities.
