Professional Summary

I am a previous small business owner and successful entrepreneur with extensive experience in sales and customer service. I recently obtained my MBA and have a passion for data analysis, art, process improvement, writing, and project management.

I have been recognized by my peers, my employers, and my professors for showing initiative, for having a strong business acumen, and for embracing a problem-solving mentality. I am genuinely driven to leadership roles but will delegate as necessary, especially when my skills aren’t sufficient for the task at hand. I understand the need for prioritization, especially as projects linger. I have little tolerance for doing work just to do work and I align my priorities within a results-oriented work environment.

I am an optimist by nature, eager to work proactively with new teams to face new challenges. I sometimes lack focus but with so many interesting nuances to business and to life, specializing in just one area seems almost criminal. I enjoy pivot tables in Excel as much as I do presentations in PowerPoint; running reports in SAS as much as designing a logo in Photoshop; the analytical along with the conceptual.

I am a firm believer that business, art, and learning do not have to be separate disciplines, and that purposefully separating them only disenfranchises customers, employees, managers, and owners.

Terri Mrosko, Senior Director of Alumni Engagement at Case Alumni Association

I have known Jon for a number of years beginning with his role as wine consultant and owner at the Olde Wine Cellar. He exemplifies professionalism, strong knowledge of wine and was one the reasons the shop grew in popularity in recent years. He has a likable personality and is easy to talk to. Jon also worked as an editor for columns that I write for the Plain Dealer. He was reliable, thorough and did an outstanding job in that role.

Mike Jacobs, Owner and Manager of the Olde Wine Cellar

Jonathan did a very thorough weekly and monthly sales analysis with projections that are thus far spot on. Spread sheets and graphs were very easy to understand, and his recommendation to close the store on Mondays has already saved us money
