Summary

Dr. Jonathan Vrban enjoys a variety of leisure activities. He particularly likes to garden, doing home improvement projects, travel the world and practice the culinary arts.

His travels include visits to many European and Asian countries, including France, Spain, the UK, Germany, Portugal, Turkey, Japan, Thailand, and Singapore. A fan of Italian food, Dr. Vrban has also made several in-depth trips to Italy, where he studied Italian cuisine.

Dr. Vrban now bases most of his meals on the Mediterranean diet and creates homemade pastas and Italian sauces from ingredients that he grows in his garden. Additionally, he bakes bread, cookies, cakes, and, pies to give to his local firefighters in appreciation for the risks they take for the community.

Prior to buying a home and moving to Hawaii, Dr. Vrban served patients in the injury center, occupational medicine and employee health at Kaiser Permanente in San Francisco, California. He was preceptor to countless medical residents and nursing staff and served on several hospital committees. Dr. Vrban was trained in family practice and was accountable for the diagnosis and treatment for the patients he saw in his practice.
