Occasionally on weekends and evenings, I work as an entertainer for all ages. This involves entertaining a large group of children at birthday parties where I dance and play party games with them. This has help me build my communication skills and confidence, but it is also a challenging role as it can be testing trying to organise them and keep them interested. I also help supply entertainment such as karaoke, wedding and birthday parties, in the evenings at pubs and clubs, and have shown in the past that I am able to handle larger children and adult groups. My roles at the Carphone Warehouse are primarily retail-orientated involving interaction with customers in order to discover their preferences, needs, and sell them the best mobile phone and tariff based on what they told me. Customer service plays a large part in my role, as I also resolve customer issues and complaints. My time at the company gave me necessary training to be assistant manager at my store and this enabled me to learn a lot of back office processes, including stock management and control, consolidating paperwork, logging banking information into the system and how to manage a team.
