Community Watersports  CIC is a Community Interest Company established for the purpose of establishing the first Cable Wakeboard facility in Northern Ireland to showcase and proving the concept of urban watersports in Belfast.

This is a unique pilot watersports project that has built a community of urban watersports enthusiasts from scratch and reaches out to the greater Belfast community to deliver the social development needs outlined by the Northern Ireland Assembly.

  • Determine objectives for Mastercraft Ireland and ensure delivery
  • Business development and sales management
  • Act as the values' leader for Mastercraft Ireland
  • Financial planning and management
  • Approve all new position descriptions, new hires, promotions and any disciplinary action, including firing of employees;
  • Review and approve all partner and manager annual performance reviews before they are delivered
  • Marketing & Events, from boat shows to world championship events
  • Manage strategic vendor relations and vendor contracts;
  • Develop and gain buy-in for market positioning, messaging and annual marketing plan and assisting those assigned to implement it as needed;
  • Develop alliances with 3rd parties;
  • Represent Mastercraft Ireland at key community events, firm functions and other meetings
  • Sales - Review the sales pipeline, refine the sales process and assist in closing engagements, as needed;
  • Review and qualify prospective clients to ensure good fit and accept clients;
  • Review and approve all proposals to clients.
  • Client Service including escalated client concerns as warranted
  • Risk & Safety Management - Ensure Mastercraft Ireland is protected against risk including managing the firm’s insurance and legal obligations and exposure.
  • Technical support - liaise between factory and local technical support teams to provide country-wide service
  • Technician - Trained MasterCraft, Ilmor & Indmar marine technician

This role required extensive international travel to build strong relationships to develop new and existing distribution channels through working closely with dealer principals in key international markets. Central & Eastern Europe, South Africa, Korea, Thailand & Japan.

Patience and quick thinking allows the adaption of the tailored transfer of skills to many learning styles. The most interesting was successfully coaching groups of Japanese kids with no translator.
