Investigate allegations of child physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, child neglect, truancy, and out of control behaviors.  Determine and provide needed services and interventions.  Network with the court system, private contracting agencies, school, and other service agencies to implement needed services.  Provide case management for foster care and family preservation cases.  Provide input and implement stratgies to improve staff retention.

Attended weekly Child Study Team (CST) meetings.  Conducted weekly individual counseling and small group meetings emphasizing social skills building with selected students.  Updated social histories with families, as well as, completed the necessary paperwork and process involving a student's initial and re-evaluations of special education services.

Provided developmental education services to parents of children from birth to 5 years of age. Helped parents to understand the critical importance of a child's first three years of life and suggested ways in which a parent can be their child's first and most influential teacher.  Made personalized home visits, conducted parent group meetings, completed developmental and health screenings (DDST II & ASQ's), and provided community resources when needed.  Additionally, conducted a montlhy teen support group to teens who were either pregnant or parenting.
