About John Wilson Santa Barbara

Since 1998, John Wilson has owned and operated JW Brush Clearing in Santa Barbara, California. Under his leadership, the Better Business Bureau-accredited company performs such services as scrub vegetation and tree removal, tree branch paring, and weed cutting on behalf of homeowners who wish to reduce insurance liability by eliminating potential fire hazards. John Wilson also works as a chauffeur for Rock Star Limousine Services, in which role he picks up passengers from local airports and hotels and drives them on tours of wineries and vineyards throughout Santa Barbara and Santa Ynez.

Working earlier in his career in the commercial fishing industry, John Wilson owned and led as captain of the Fishing Vessel Seafever and proprietor of associated seafood retailer and purveyor Seafood Seafever. During his more than 35 years as captain of Fishing Vessel Seafever, he navigated and maintained a 48-foot Young Brothers lobster boat, built shellfish traps, and recorded log books in adherence with California Department of Fish and Wildlife regulations. Through Seafood Seafever, he sold fish and shellfish at the Hollywood Farmers’ Market, serving more than 200 customers each week. He also provided crab for several Los Angeles seafood markets and furnished weekly deliveries of a variety of seafood to over 25 area eateries.

Away from his professional interests, Mr. Wilson follows professional basketball and baseball and supports the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers franchises. He also enjoys such wide-ranging hobbies as taking road trips, surfing, and eating out at local restaurants.
