About John Trapanotto

John Trapanotto has worked in the Production and Delivery Departments of the New York Times for more than two decades. While a route driver, he delivered the New york Times Newspapers and their products to their customers throughout the tri-state area, and the also throughout North East corridor regions. John Trapanotto also received numerous company awards for his ongoing contributions to the company, and for 24 years of safe vehicle operation. At the company’s NY, and NJ in-house printing facilities, John Trapanotto has also handled personal employee relations, union situations, and has also served two terms as an elected union chapel chairman for the NY Times Edison, NJ, printing plant. He also maintained responsibilities as a yard jockey, office person, and fleet dispatcher. As an elected union chairman he oversaw union/ client relations for NYC, and NJ delivery routes. Mr. Trapanotto also assisted in negotiations of contracts between the NY Times and it's unions. Over the many years at the Times, John Trapanotto also trained newer drivers for compliance with the NY Times Company safe driver policies, and assisted the more senior foreman in hiring manpower for their Production and Delivery Departments, flooring staff and drivers.

Following his tenure with the New York Times, John Trapanotto spent several years in the commercial trucking industry before founding Harrisburg, Pa.- based: Rocket Transportation and Logistics, Inc., in 2012. As president and CEO, he contracts with manly private clients to fulfill freight shipments within a 500-air-mile radius of Harrisburg, Pa. With over 3 million personal miles logged during his 30 year career, John Trapanotto oversees and operates a fleet of 5 tractor trucks with 30 air-ride-suspension-equipped trailers, which include 25 dry van, 3 refrigerated vans, and 2 flatbed units. John Trapanotto personally supervises a staff of five highly skilled drivers, with each having over a million miles of driving experience in a commercial vehicle, and all with extensive 100% safe driving records.

In his free time, John Trapanotto competes in 1000 yard plus high power rifle long-distance competition shooting. Mr. Trapanotto is a highly skilled marksman. He also enjoys playing ice hockey, camping, hunting and restoring classic motorcycles, automobiles, and particularly classic Chevrolet Corvettes.
John Trapanotto enjoys spending time with his 3 daughters and family when ever time allows. Among his charitable activities, he contributes to the American Cancer Society, Saint Jude's Cancer Research, and the American Red Cross.
