With extensive experience in advertising and media sales, John J. Sommese presently serves TeleRep Inc. as Vice President and General Sales Manager. In this position, he leads sales operations for one of the United States' largest collections of local television stations and oversees 35 managers and their teams of sales professionals. Mr. Sommese also draws on his experience to predict future advertising budgets and set company expectations accordingly. John J. Sommese has worked in the industry for 20 years, and he has amassed several accomplishments along the way.John J. Sommese began his career shortly after graduating from the State University of New York at New Paltz, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Media Management. After gaining experience in buying time for radio and television spots with Time Buying Services/RDR, he joined American Home Products, where he served as Senior Media Buyer for John F. Murray Advertising, an in-house firm. He then made a name for himself at Blair Television, where he worked for three years before being recruited by TeleRep. John J. Sommese started at TeleRep as an Account Executive on the Cougar Team and immediately infused his work with the same dedication to success that marked his prior positions. In addition to negotiating sponsorships for professional sports teams like the Chicago Cubs and Detroit Tigers, he partnered with several television stations to introduce CW Network shows to audiences in Indianapolis, Chicago, Denver, Seattle, and elsewhere. Capitalizing on these accomplishments, he accepted a promotion to the role of New York Sales Manager for the Cougar Team, a position he held for a number of years. He earned an additional promotion to his current job in 2004.A charitably minded individual, John J. Sommese contributes some of his resources to Berkeley Heights, New Jersey's Westminster Presbyterian Church. When not working, he enjoys a number of outdoor recreational activities, including golfing, skiing, and snowmobiling.
