As an award winning trainer I design and deliver courses for varied clients and have negotiated contracts and tenders for public and corporate training. Particularly partnership projects with Tower Hamlets, Credit Suisse and Pitman Training. Working with employers and delivering TNA through a complete cycle, I have experience working in recruitment, HR and in other sectors. A creative consultant, designing and critiquing training for a diverse range of clients with an aim to win work or influence people.With a dynamic approach to training I enjoy discovering core requirements and offering training solutions with impact. With a background of production and directing in film and theatre, I am lively, adaptable direct and understand the importance that connecting with learners has on business.

Working on a number of client contracts through the whole training cycle, implementing, designing and delivering training packages: Presentation Skills, Assertiveness, Personal Branding and Influencing Skills amongst others. Clients have included include Ryder Levitt Bucknall, Laing O’Rourke, Cundall, The Walt Disney Company, Bank of New York Melon. Most recently designed and delivered Virtual Team Management Bite size training for AMEX: Time Management for IG Group including design of a time monitoring programme. I have just trialed a core development programme covering, culture, service and selling for all Compass Group staff which is now being rolled out across the group. Currently working with National Instruments traning staff in Presentation, Body Language and Voice Skills.

Two National Training Awards – One Institute if IT Training Awards – One London & South East Recruitment Awards

This initiative involved groups of up to 24 young adults sourced from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets seeking employment opportunity. The project further developed into Restart a programme aimed at adults keen to rejoin the job market. The projects were diverse and comprised a wide spectrum of society. Training programs ran from one week to four weeks followed by placement within major London companies, between six and ten weeks. All training material was planned, sourced and written by myself: IT, soft and office skills. The projects have a 100% success rate in training and placement with an 83% success rate in retained employment after placement. This lead to being awarded a National Training Award and Learning Centre of The Year Award by the Institute of IT Trainers.The project was expanded to include the NEET group and companies involved included Credit Suisse, Williams Lea, Mite, Canary Wharf Group, NHS Trusts: UCLH, Barts, and Hammersmith Hospital.

Film - Theatre Director

Film director set up osb films ltd; in 2003 to produce corporate work, feature and short films. Director/Writer. Script writing and development Artistic Director Shared Boat Theatre Company                                                            Directed over 20 productions Based at Crawford Arts Centre in St Andrews responsible to Board Responsible for artistic policy and funding both for in house and touring productions Scheduling of productions within the theatre. Touring work most notably to the Reykjavik Festival Presenting predominantly Scottish Premiers of established pieces and company devised works for young people Establishing in conjunction with the Byre Theatre the St Andrews Youth Theatre and The St Andrews Writers Group and St Andrews Young Writers Group.   The Singing Kettle Directed BAFTA award winning 10 productions for this leading children’s television/theatre company. The show is still the Scottish Exhibition Centers highest selling show.   Touring to leading venues in Scotland, the UK including London Palladium and abroad. Rehearsal and stage direction. Lighting Design.   Other Directing Experience Includes Old Red Lion Theatre Islington London, Time Out award winning production of Who’s Left by Barry McCarthy with Kathy Burke, Tilly Vosburgh and Emma Wray Mayfest Commission Tales of Finn Glasgow and Scottish Tour. The Northern Production Company, Playhouse Studio Edinburgh, Theatre on the Mill Bradford touring productions including Edinburgh Festival. Director in residence St Andrews University for two years. Including working with Ian McKellern, Harold Pinter, Arnold Wesker, Tom Stoppard, Francis de la Tour, Rachael Kempson, Janet McTeer, Alex Jennings, Alan Rickman, Kris Kirstopherson.
