John Rogers serves as a member of the Board of Directors and chairman of the Audit Committee at SWM International, a company specializing in paper and filtration products. Until recently, he also worked as president and chief executive officer with CFA Institute, based in Charlottesville, Virginia. In his leadership role, John Rogers shepherded the institute through a difficult era in the history of the finance industry. He led the organization in new initiatives, including the "Future of Finance" project, the launch of the Claritas Investment Certificate, and a major expansion of the organization's international presence.
When not working, John Rogers stays physically active by swimming and competing in open water races. As a college student, he pursued swimming at the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I level and qualified for the U.S. Olympic trials. Besides swimming, he enjoys kite and boardsailing and sporting clays.
An executive engaged with his broader community, Mr. Rogers is active in several nonprofit organizations, including Christ Episcopal Church of Charlottesville, the Rotary Club, and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
