Oversee all aspects of 3rd party logistics functions for client on site. Responsible for carrier neutral transportation modes. Managed claims and documentation processes. Directly responsible for working with client on accounts payable issues with my corporation. Resolved client challenges with internal and external customers. Created results driven metrics for executive level client management.

Significant Accomplishments include:

  • Reduced accounts receivable 7% ($180K annually) by leading regular meetings with client's financial officers.
  • Managed on-site logistics and transportation for $28 million client R.R. Donnelley. Directed 6 on- and off site staff.
  • Added $45K to annual bottom line by developing/deploying standard procedures for supply chain support group.
  • Created proprietary database to track and resolve service issues improving response time by 2 days for client.
  • Utilized Six Sigma methodologies to identify and resolve operational and cash application issues.
  • Co chaired committee with client to establish new customer implementation transition process and procedures.

Manager of Central Control


Manager of Central Control, June 2006 to November 2007 (Company Downsize)

Oversee all aspects of transportation group local and regional, logistics brokerage division. Responsible for 6 managers & supervisors, 7 office staff & driver staff over 100. Responsible for reducing fleet maintenance costs.

Significant Accomplishments include:

  • Increased quarterly backhaul revenue 5% ($450K annual run rate) by creating incentive program for fleet managers.
  • Implemented new management software, reducing payroll 8% and vastly improving efficiency and accuracy.
  • Saved $8K by conducting in-house training and via key role in developing add-on software.
  • Quickly analyzed service problem, replaced underperforming staff and improved missed pickups from three per day to zero.
  • Eliminated "walls" between logistics and transportation groups, transforming functional silos into a single cohesive team.

Assistant Service Center Manager

Assistant Service Center Manager April 2008 to November 2008 (Merger with sister corporation PJAX resulted in management downsizing)

Oversee all areas of p & l, service including safety, department of transportation regulations & occupational safety and health administration. Responsible for an outbound & freight assembly center with a nightly tonnage of 2.5 million pounds. Responsible for 7 managers & supervisors, 145 drivers and dock staff.

Significant Accomplishments include:

  • Assessed and reduced management staff for improved profitability by removing duplicate and inefficient tasks.
  • Quickly assessed service issues replaced underperforming staff improving service standards 1.5%.
  • Initiated new employee training and orientation resulting in a reduction of turnover of 8.5%.
Feb 2009Present

Inventory Manager

Logistics Inventory Manager February 2009 to July 2009 (Company Downsize)

Oversee all areas of Inventory control. Responsible for 3 supervisors and 30 inventory staff. Maintained 400,000 square foot warehouse with 600 high value SKU’S. Responsible for bi yearly Physical Inventories preparation, staffing. Reported  Inventory Accuracy metrics to General Manager/Departmental Managers identifying non compliant areas and implementing action plan to improve.

Significant Accomplishments include:

  •   Effectively controlled $100 million in stock for client Samsung.
  •   Improved Inventory Accuracy from 97.30% to 99.35% for Location and Unit Accuracy.
  •   Successfully implemented SAP R/3 software. 
  •   Recruited, staffed and trained newly formed 3rd shift to better utilize “static” warehouse time.
