Summary

During the early years of my career, I learned about what it took to satisfy the customer, but I was also determined to understand how to engage and motivate the employee; and in turn, enhance productivity and increase the overall effectiveness of an organization. So in 2005, when I discovered that I could marry my business experience with my passion for psychology, I immediately took the next steps toward pursuing a career in organizational consulting. I took a job as the recruiter of a small training company and enrolled in a class about the amazing field of Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Next thing I knew, I was moving to Chicago to pursue my master's and embark on a journey to establish my dream career. My journey through graduate school consisted of a myriad of compelling work and learning experiences. Leading a student organization allowed me to build competencies in leadership, communication, and program development. Consulting with Leo Burnett tested my research and project management abilities and opened my eyes to the workings of a global organization. Finally, conducting a job search in the worst economy in decades served as a blessing in disguise. I realized the importance of networking and building mutually beneficial relationships; I unleashed the power of social networks and used my new skill set to work independently as a consultant who specializes in showing others how to make the most of human capital and connection. What is my goal? I aim to continue working with organizations, large and small, national and global; individuals such as students and young professionals, functional experts, business leaders and executives. Why?
