His father, the chief mechanic for Sprint Car and Indy Car racer Al Unser, brought his son to the racetrack during college breaks. While there, Capels began to appreciate the importance of sponsorship promotions and brand awareness, and the creativity involved in multimedia presentation. Utilizing his business degree, he aided many racing teams and drivers with their promotional needs before joining New Beginnings Venture, an Irvine, California, business specializing in road-show promotions. After four years, Johnny Capels left to form National Tour Integrated Resources, Inc. Based in Rancho Santa Margarita in California, National Tour Integrated Resources, Inc., handles the mobile advertising needs of many Fortune 500 companies. Over the past 16 years, Johnny Capels transformed the nascent entity into one of the top 100 promotional agencies in the United States, working with such clients as the Walt Disney Company, Newell Rubbermaid, The BMW Group, and SiriusXM, among others. Under the advertising-award-winning Johnny Capels, National Tour Integrated Resources, Inc., earned $20 million in gross sales within 3 years.With over 100 tractor-trailers under his purview, COO, President, and CEO Johnny Capels develops exhibits and road shows that raise brand awareness and inspire brand loyalty.
