John Blondel Jr. has been at Goldman Sachs since 1983. John Blondel Jr. devotes considerable time and effort to charitable endeavors that promote education, the arts, and the community. A longtime resident of New York City, John Blondel Jr. is on the Board, Executive Committee and Chairs the Development Committee of the Friends of the High Line. The High Line project converted an abandoned elevated freight rail line to a thriving city park. It has become both a park and architectural landmark with over six million visitors in the last five years. John Blondel Jr. is a member of the Board and Finance Committee of the Academy of American Poets as well as a member of its Committee on the Board. The Academy encourages the enjoyment and study of poetry and awards several of the most important poetry awards in America including the Wallace Stevens Award.John Blondel Jr. is a member of the Jackie Robinson Foundation Board and of the organization's Investment Committee. The Jackie Robinson Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that provides four-year scholarships to students throughout the United States. In addition, the Jackie Robinson Foundation offers mentoring to all of its scholars. The organization's strategic programs provide inspiration, incentive, and encouragement for scholarship recipients with nearly 100 percent of the students graduating from college. John Blondel is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs. He earned his AB in History with high honors from Harvard College and his MBA from Harvard as well. He was on the Harvard Crimson where he was an editor. He also joined the Delphic Club and was a member of the track team and played freshman football.
