Achievements:

  • Instrumental in obtaining US Government export approval for Orbital ATK’s portfolio of light attack aircraft including Iraqi Armed Caravans, Lebanon Armed Caravans, Italian MC-27Js, and Jordanian Light and Medium Gunships valued well in excess of $100M in total orders.
  • Conceived and executed Orbital ATK’s strike missile export strategy for the Middle East resulting in numerous Letters of Request for multi-million dollar orders of the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile.
  • Directed the DC effort for Orbital ATK’s ongoing capture campaign for USAF’s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent Program

The Joint Staff

Provided direct support for J8 Director leading resource allocation, requirements validation, and assessments of capabilities, force structure, and readiness of US joint forces in order to achieve national security objectives. Provided analysis on impacts of budgetary and programming proposals and advice on Joint Requirements Oversight Council issues to Chairman and Vice Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff in order to provide best military advice to Secretary of Defense and President of United States.

Achievements:

  • Played major role in synchronizing efforts of 7 Deputy Directors and +700 J8 personnel, achieving strategic alignment on numerous efforts of diverse groups throughout DoD with vastly different cultures and priorities.
  • Charted path to save $487B over 10 years, effectively aligned resources to President's new defense strategy, and spawned ongoing strategic seminar series with Combatant Commanders hosted by Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff, running "Quadrennial Defense Review in a Month" serving as Chief of Staff for Strategic Choices Group.
  • Played critical role in securing endorsement of Secretary of Defense in new multibillion dollar Air Force Bomber Program as Chairman's personal representative on high-profile, Long-Range Strike Front End Assessment.

336th Fighter Wing

Led all aspects of one of America's premier integrated Fighter Wings. Defined strategic vision, goals, and focus. Trained and ensured combat readiness of personnel for integrated worldwide deployment in support of national policy. Oversaw 5,000 military and civilian personnel, 86 aircraft valued at $5.6B, equipment valued at $351.4M, and $207M annual discretionary budget.  Served as lead USAF representative in Idaho. Liaised with local, congressional, tribal, municipal, and media leaders.

Achievements:

  • Strengthened relationship with personnel, base families, and community, transforming paradigm at Mountain Home AFB to customer-focused; improved school programs, quality of life, and empowerment of service members and families.
  • Completed 57 deployments for 4 different Combatant Commanders including 2 squadron, 10-month, no-notice deployment to deter North Korean aggression; effort directed by Secretary of Defense.
  • Established vital US training partnership with Republic of Singapore fighter squadron at AFB including hosting Deputy Prime Minster of Singapore and world press for inauguration; 25-year, $25B, 275-person program known as PEACE CARVIN V.
  • Managed multiple major projects at Mountain Home AFB including $42M construction, $13M new lodging facility, $12M in stimulus projects, $7.5M in gate security measures, and Air Combat Command's 1st dormitory to lodging conversions.
  • Served as key advisor to numerous top officials including Governor of Idaho, senators, civic leaders, Republic of Singapore Air Force, 12th Air Force Commander, and Commander of Air Combat Command.

Directed 14 wing staff agencies and 4-group wing structure with +6,000 military and civilian personnel, aircraft valued at +$5.7B, and $4B in facility infrastructure. Chaired Central Registry Board, Non-Appropriated Funds Council, Victim Witness Assistance Council, Civilian Employment Cost Management Committee, READY Augmentee Committee, Contract Award Fee Board, and Foreign Object Damage Program. Served as Commander in his absence.

Achievements:

  • Instrumental in driving wing to become "best seen in AETC in 10 years" as noted by 19th Air Force Commander with "Excellent" rating during 2008 AETC Operational Readiness Inspection.
  • Led exemplary closeout of $273M FY07 budget; captured and executed $54.4M in end-of-year fallout money.
  • Set multiple new records with phenomenal closeout of $240M annual Flying Hour Program in 2008, achieving 12,000 hours, 16,000 sorties, #1 F-15 and F-22 maintenance statistics ever, outperformance of 7 long-standing Combat Air Force maintenance standards, and lowest mishap rate in 11 years.
  • Cultivated and delivered skills and talents of 55 F-15 and 59 F-22 pilots and instructor pilots, 154 air battle managers and instructors, and 156 intelligence specialists to Combat Air Force as Instructor Pilot and Leader.
