As a Freelance Video Editor, I have had a wide variety of clients through the years, ranging from professional photographer to school mentoring system to fitness classes to international documentaries and more.My primary tools in Freelance Editing are Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, Apple Motion, Adobe After Effects, Soundtrack Pro, DVD Studio Pro, and any other software packages as needed by client.As per the client needs, footage is pulled from either tape or hard drive, and delivered via DVD, hard drive, or web-ready file.I have worked with clients to develop schedule, script, budget, and overall look and feel for project. Executed each project in a timely manner according to developed schedule.

As a video editor for The Great Courses, my primary responsibilities include:

• Non-linear video editing in Final Cut Pro (currently version 7)

• Working on long-form content (12-48 thirty minute sequences per project)

• Image editing, cleanup, and manipulation in Photoshop

• Being involved in the entire process - scripting through delivery - although my specialty is in post-production

• Planning and working on tight deadlines with specific budgets and delivering in a timely manner

• Staying organized while working on multiple projects for multiple producers simultaneously

• Working with a variety of file-based formats on a SAN network

• Creating timesync multiclips for sequences

• Editing camera changes for in-studio talent• Troubleshooting technical and visual problems for team members

• Assembling, editing, and sweetening non-linear video from field shoots into packages with visual continuity and contextual continuity, based on edited scripts, from raw video or P2 cards

As the instructor and coordinator for this program, I worked with Alexandria City Officials to create a mentoring program targeted towards at-risk teens, in which students stayed after school each week to learn how to make movies with mentors, as well as work on life skills and crime prevention. I was responsible for running the instructional portion of the class each week, and was involved in strategic planning, budgeting, and curriculum design. In the program, I instructed students and mentors in using iMovie, Garageband, iDVD, iPhoto, Pages, as well as a variety of video equipment.
