Manufacturing Engineer

It was a summer internship.  They specialize in gear manufacturing. I designed various machine layouts for tooth-cutting, turning, assembly, etc. I used SolidWorks extensively, along with Excel, and various database programs such as the VAX and AS400.  I also designed and ordered tools to be made on the shop floor.

Hartsfield Village

I served residents of a retirement home for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  It was a restaurant setting, and run like an upscale restaurant.  The job was to give top quality service in a timely fashion, while also perform necessary sanitary duties in the kitchen, servery, and dining room.

Sales Associate/Seasonal Merchandise Leader

Being a sales associate, you organize the store, help customers with any questions they may have, work the cash register, and also know the inventory both in the store and in the back stock area.  As a merchandise leader, you work with the stock leader to make sure that the store is filled with the items in demand.  You also manage the organization of the store, help with floor sets, and offer suggestions and ideas on where to place certain clothing items that could help sales/customers.

From August 2010 - December 2012, I attended Purdue University West Lafayette.

This degree focuses on multiple different aspects in the manufacturing/mechanical job industry.  It deals with knowing materials (such as metals and plastics), fluid power and mechanics, heat power and transfer and thermodynamics, as well as the design process and using programs such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.
